X-Country Flying

Paul Remde of Cumulus Soaring was kind enough to send electronic copies of documents certifying our Cambridge 302 in the LS-3.  I have uploaded those documents into the LS-3 Google Docs folder,  and I will place a hard copy in the new gray LS-3 folder in the clubhouse.

Paul did not charge us for this, partially because I agreed to buy a new Nano flight computer from him, which I intend to take with me on all of my flights, so as to record them into the OLC,  This will also open up the Lark and the L-33 for OLC and Badge flights in the future.  I hope to sign more of us up on the OLC as well as encourage more of us to fly together in the future. Doing so is all that much more exciting, educational, and fun, as it was for me, flying with Vitek several weeks ago.

Expect announcements about club x-country flights in the future. We will try to predict weather, plan appropriate tasks ahead of time, find tow pilots, and reserve gliders, so we can go fly. It's just a heck of a lot more fun when there is a crowd!

If I we can dig up a tow pilot, we'll try the first x-c day this weekend!  Stand by.
